Volver a Soñar: February to June 2022 programme
El Palmeral, Misteri and Casa Museo Pusol are three sites and experiences that have been recognised by UNESCO in Elche. All this, combined with the excellent theatre programme running until June at Gran Teatro, makes the town an irresistible destination.
Mozart, Emilia Pardo Bazán, Coque Malla, Sara Mesa, Verdi, Nancho Novo with an adaptation of Alessandro Baricco’s Seda, dance, music, symphony orchestra, Niño de Elche, operetta, Pasión Vega, children’s musicals and more: the programme is as diverse as it is long. Don’t miss it.

Playtime
Auditori in Torrent always has interesting shows on its programme and Playtime by Nacho Diago is no exception. As its name suggests, this is a piece that revolves around play in all sorts of forms, from magic to acrobatics, poetry and even photography. And the most surprising thing of all? Not a word is muttered throughout the show.
Combining physical and visual theatre, adding comedy and music, and throwing in sleight of hand, this is a piece that defies the boundaries of genre. Check out the dates of the show and get your tickets now. We look forward to seeing you there.

Talleres y cursos de Ocio Alternativo
Beyond its great historic and architectural heritage, Orihuela offers plenty of things for young people to do. Running until June, this programme of events and activities promises something for everyone in both the inland and coastal parts of the destination.
Young people can join workshops focusing on ceramics, film, lettering, photography and music as well social media and presentations. There are even excursions that will get them out in the great outdoors. And the best thing? All the activities are free. We’ll see you there.

Rock Arena 2022
This summer Rock Arena is back, giving you the opportunity to come and explore San Fulgencio in La Vega Baja. Thanks to support from the local council, the rock festival is totally free.
The line-up features some incredible acts including Morphium, a Girona-based band whose music combines the sounds of death, nu-metal and industrial. You can also see Jolly Joker, a Valencian group who will be presenting their new album and putting on an unmissable show.
Beyond the music, there will also be all sorts of food stalls serving up a wide range of dishes. We look forward to seeing you there.

La Tomatina de Buñol
In 2002, La Tomatina de Buñol was listed an Event of International Tourist Interest. It has become an increasingly popular event ever since with people from all four corners of the world coming to the town yearly to take part.
The festival is essentially a massive tomato fight that takes place on the streets. It starts at around 11am on the final Wednesday of August when trucks offload huge quantities of tomatoes and participants start throwing them at each other. We recommend wearing goggles to protect your eyes and always remember to follow the advice given by the organisers. Come and experience La Tomatina; there’s nothing quite like it.
