February gets all dressed up for Carnival 2024, which takes over Alcalà de Xivert and Alcossebre for two consecutive weekends. From Friday 9 until Saturday 17, colour and merriment will flood the streets of both places in celebration of carnival season. From 9 until 11 February, Alcalà de Xivert takes the limelight with its colourful festivities and carnival shenanigans, whereas the coastal village of Alcossebre is the place to be on the 16 and 17 February for yet more fun. Get ready for a couple of busy days, jam-packed with parades, costumes and plenty of excitement.
