Listed an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, L'Alcora’s Rompida de la Hora is an incredible tradition that is well worth seeing in the flesh. Every Good Friday, over a thousand people flock to L'Alcora at midday to strike their drums and bass drums with a deafening sound that seeks to express the pain of the Passion and Jesus’ death. The streets of the town’s historic centre are overwhelmed by the eruption of sound. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience what is always an emotional event.
