Come and discover a monument in Vinaròs set in a landscape of astounding natural beauty.

The Torre de Sol del Riu, Sol del Riu Tower, is a monument in Vinaròs, Castellón, which owes its name to another tower that no longer exists, once located beside the mouth of the Cenia River. References to the original construction of this Vinaròs tower are contained in 16th century ordinances and testimonies, describing it as the last watchtower on the coast. The current Sol del Riu Tower building, located some 300 metres inland, was probably erected at the same time.

This three-storey construction, built to a square floor plan and crowned with crenellated battlements, boasts masonry-framed windows, a semicircular arched gateway, watchtower, the remains of machicolations and a heraldic coat of arms. It also conserves Gothic arches in its interior, and remains in good condition in spite of the attached buildings. Come and discover it! It is set in a really pleasant natural environment that preserves stretches of natural, untouched beach.
