Serra will host the third gastronomic days of pumpkin, tradition and innovation from 19 to 27 October 2024. The gastronomic event in the town nestled in the heart of the Sierra Calderona will include 10 local businesses: 8 bars and restaurants and 2 local businesses. The days will also include the 4th Vicente Granero Vila de Serra National Pot with Pumpkin Contest and the popular version of the contest. In addition, there will be an afternoon of tastings with pumpkin decorating contest.

During two weekends, stores and restaurants will offer in their menus or in their offer, products where the pumpkin will be the protagonist. An autumn fruit deeply rooted in popular culture. The participating stores are: Horno San Joaquín and Carnes Aliaga. In addition, 8 bars or restaurants will offer different dishes or menus with pumpkin: Casa Granero Restaurant, the bars-restaurants La Garrofera, Descanso, Collao, Bar Cirilo, Bar Cafetería Carpe Diem, the pizzeria Les Moreres and Cerveceria Porta Coeli.

 

On October 21 will be held the IV edition of the National Contest of Pot with Pumpkin Vicente Granero Vila de Serra in which 12 restaurants will participate and on October 26 will be held the local version of the contest with the III popular contest. That same afternoon there will be tastings in which restaurants and stores participating in the conference and a pumpkin decorating contest for families.

 

The gastronomic days "offer unique and authentic experiences" says the mayor and head of tourism department. The third gastronomic days are held to strengthen the tourism companies and businesses in our town.
