Holy Week in Torrent, between 24 and 30 March, is the perfect excuse to visit this Valencian town and discover its traditions. Declared a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest, it sees the 18 brotherhoods - who prepare all year for this special week - head out onto the streets for the glorious processions. It all kicks off with the Palm Sunday procession on the 24 March, in which the traditional blessing of the palms takes place. Maundy Thursday is on the 28, followed by Good Friday and the Encuentro Glorioso, Glorious Encounter, on Easter Sunday, a moving occasion in Torrent that should not be missed if you're here during Holy Week. The Easter celebrations end on Thursday 30 May with the spectacular Corpus Christi event. So much to see and do during Easter, you'll be spoilt for choice!
