Jardines de Viveros, also known as Jardines del Real, is a leafy idyll in València city.

Jardines de Viveros is one of the most iconic places in València city. The historic park is renowned for its beautifully landscaped gardens, populated with beautiful plants and trees, that host cultural events throughout the year.

With a total surface area of 170,000m2, the park is located close to Avenida Blasco Ibáñez and the riverbed of the old river Turia, which is now also a park. The gardens have been restyled several times over the years. As you wander around, you will come across Romanesque parterres in the southern part of the park, areas inspired by natural landscapes in the northern part and - of course - the famous rose garden.

The park counts a total of 167 botanic varieties and 2,769 trees. Some of most spectacular are the Washingtonias filiferas lining the grand walkway from Pla del Real and the Podocarpus macrophyllus sitting opposite Alqueria de Canet. This building is a fine example of rural Valencian architecture and is in an excellent state of conservation.

Jardines de Viveros hosts events all year round. One of the most popular is Conciertos de Viveros, a series of live concerts that fills the esplanade with crowds of people every July. During your time in València city, make sure you take the time to idly wander around these beautiful gardens and find yourself soothed by the flowers, plants and trees.
