Close to the Plaza de la Villa is the Torreó de la Peça, a defensive bastion where the "Peça" was installed, a piece of artillery that defended the Christian nucleus of the XV century which went on to receive its own name. It has a conical shaped circular base, whilst its top part is a cylindrical construction in stone and mortar.
