Come and spend some time at this stunning beach in Jávea – it’s the perfect snorkelling spot.

El Primer Muntanyar Beach, also known as Benissero Beach, is a semi-urban pebbly and rocky beach in Jávea. The beach extends along the coast for nearly 2 kilometres, from the mouth of the Gorgos River to El Arenal Beach, with 1,600 metres of limestone and 400 metres of pebbles.

At the southern end of El Primer Muntanyar Beach, you’ll find a large rock-carved pool known as Baños de la Reina. This site was a commercial settlement in the 1st century BC, where salted fish and sauces were made. Today, this area is commonly referred to as “Cala del Ministro.”

The beach is equipped with services such as beach bars, restaurants, sunbeds, parasols, buoyed-off areas, a snorkelling zone, Red Cross, a hotel and a nearby bus stop. It doesn’t tend to get to busy, making it the perfect choice if you’re looking for a spacious, historic setting with leisure options by the sea.
