Come and spend time at a wild and spectacular cove sitting at the point where the Mediterranean meets the mountains.

Situated in Sierra de Irta Natural Park in Alcalà de Xivert/Alcossebre, Cala Mundina, Mundina Cove, is a beautiful sandy and pebbly nook encircled by rugged rocks, clear waters and sea life. This wonderful spot is a great place to visit all year round.

The cove’s wild beauty paired with the clear, peaceful waters make it the perfect place to take a dip, but don’t forget to wear your water shoes. You can also take a walk along the shore, lapping up the sound of the waves and the breeze, before sitting down to a beach picnic like no other.

Sitting at the point where the mountains meet the coast, the cove has a unique appearance. To get to Mundina Cove, you’ll have to walk along a dirt track. Remember to bring everything you’ll need for the day as there are no services on this stretch of the Mediterranean.

Close to Mundina Cove are all sorts of different hiking trails, some of which will lead you up to the top of the mountains where you can breathe in spectacular views. Start packing your comfortable shoes, parasol, water and food and get ready to spend a day unwinding in the embrace of mother nature.
