Plans for the November bank holiday in the Region of Valencia
Our first suggestion is to take a trip into the interior, and we’ll give you three amazing destinations: Vistabella del Maestrat, Bocairent and Novelda.
In Vistabella del Maestrat, you can stroll in the sun-drenched shadows of medieval buildings and gasp at the beauty of a true renaissance church, full of artistic value. The surroundings are breathtaking, with routes and hiking trails that let you get happily lost in nature. And to cap it all off, there’s Penyagolosa, which has been declared a Natural Park. Here you’ll find the San Juan Bautista de Penyagolosa y Santa Bárbara sanctuary, a place whose magic can only be truly appreciated when you’re right there in front of it.
Bocairent is another place chock-full of plans for the November bank holiday. As well as being a beautiful place in its own right, it offers you the chance to live some truly unique experiences. You’ve simply got to see the Sant Blai Ice House, a giant well of snow, and if you’re into climbing, there’s a vertical rock wall just waiting to be conquered at the Covetes dels Moros.
In Novelda, you can take a tour of beguiling modernist facades, great for those who love a spot of photography. From here, you can visit two incredible monuments: the Castillo de la Mola and the María Magdalena Sanctuary. The first traces its origins all the way back to the 17th century; the second is a modernist-inspired temple with some delightful architectural touches.
