Lago de Anna: a lake where nature, legends and history meet

Nature and sustainability
In Anna, the silence is only broken by the gurgling of water as it makes its way through the village. A peaceful and relaxing sound that hides secrets and legends.

In the lowlands of Canal de Navarrés, mother nature is at her wildest. This is an area that beckons you to come and explore, to gaze awestruck at the beautiful scenery and to find moments of stillness. In the midst of this landscape sits Anna, a destination that is defined by water.

The village is home to a spectacular lake that is shrouded in legend. Situated just a couple of kilometres from the village, Lago de Anna (also known as Albufera de Anna) is 300m wide and has a small island floating in the middle where ducks, geese and herons nest.

It is a joy to spend time at the lake all year round, but we particularly recommend visiting after it has rained. Once the skies are clear again, you will be treated to views of brotadores and ullals: springs that look like the spouts of a water fountain.

As you gaze at the lake you will feel all your senses come to life. This is a spot where you can take lazy walks under the shade of the pine trees and watch the ducks, geese and herons go about their daily business.

There is also a recreation area complete with restaurants and bars where you can get yourself something to eat or drink. Anna is a destination that is well worth a visit. When you’ve been once, you’re sure to find yourself coming back time and time again.
