The 61st edition of Descenso del Xúquer is taking place on the 10 and 11 June. Expected to bring together 300 canoeists from all over Spain, the sports event will see participants make their way down the river Xúquer. The competitive version of the event comprises a 19km route that starts in Sumacàrcer and ends in Algemesí. There is also a non-competitive version of the event which has two routes: Sumacàrcer-Antella on the 10 June and Alzira-Algemesí on the 11 June.
