Feria y Fiesta de la Vendimia de Requena

Vines, wine and plenty of fun await. Come along to the grape harvest festival in Requena to celebrate this little fruit in all its glory.

Fiesta de la Vendimia, Grape Harvest Festival, is one of the most historic festivals in Spain. The programme is jam-packed with traditional events such as the announcement of the festival queen and her court of honour, grape-stomping and blessing the grape juice, 'Noche de la Zurra' and the famous 'Noche del Labrador', Night of the Farm Worker. The grand carriage parade delights crowds, 'Requenense Ausente' Day is a moving affair, and 'Noche del Vino', Night of the Wine, is heaps of fun. And those are just some of the many exciting events taking place during the festival!

Locals dressed in regional costumes take part in a procession, and of course, there will be plenty of pyrotechnic fun for the ‘mascletas’ and firework displays. FEREVIN, Requena's wine fair, also runs alongside the festival. Come along to experience age-old traditions and visit the pretty inland town of Requena.
