Sitting in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Casa Penya is a wonderful place to learn more about the Region of Valencia’s wetlands. Located by the Almardà paddy fields, this building was constructed as a rice farmhouse and has been fully restored since.

The farmhouse now runs a number of activities connected to the local area and its nature conservation. Learn all about rice cultivation, the important stages of the process, and see some of the traditional equipment used, such as the small boats, rice dryer and mill up close. Take a guided tour and immerse yourself in the authentic Valencian countryside. See you there for a lesson from the land.
