Benidorm’s festivals are wonderful opportunities to explore this lively, sun-kissed destination. Discover the town’s festival calendar.

Benidorm’s Festivals fill the destination with an incredible atmosphere. While there’s never any shortage of things to get up to in Benidorm, when the town celebrates an occasion, there's even more for you to enjoy.

Benidorm’s festival calendar is marked by a number of dates that you won’t want to miss. You got your diary handy?

The calendar starts in March with Fallas, an extravaganza featuring events like parades, the offering of flowers, paellas cooked in the street and float processions. There are, of course, countless pyrotechnical displays and the cremà, the culmination of the festivities in which the sculptures set up in the street are set alight. Next is Holy Week where the music and processions won’t fail to get your emotions going.

San Juan is one of Benidorm’s biggest festivals. The event is bursting with bonfires, marquees and music, and has a firey end. It is one of the most popular of Benidorm’s festivals as it pretty much marks the start of the summer.

In late September, it’s time for Moors and Christians, which is set to the beat of incredible band music and parades full of spectacular costumes and performances. Last is the Patron Saint Festival in honour of Virgen del Sufragio. On this date, the peñas (associations) open their doors and put on a comedic procession. There are also traditional events like the nit d'albaes, mascletaes and copletes. Choose one of Benidorm’s festivals, come for a visit and cycle around a destination transformed by tradition.
