Follow the Palmeral de Elche path and enjoy a route through the World Heritage Site.

The Palmeral de Elche trail is a small circular path (PR-CV 439) with constant star throughout its entire route: the date palm. In addition, the landscape through which it runs is already reason enough to complete this route full of magic and charm, as the Palmeral de Elche is one of the three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in this city.

With a total elevation gain of 51 meters, 10.1 kilometres and low difficulty, you can enjoy three hours with a naturally beautiful landscape. The walk will take you to interesting sites such as the Hort dels Pontos and the Hort del Sol, the Creu del Terme, the Vaillo Tower, the Molí del Real, the Altamira Palace, the Basilica of Santa Maria or the viewpoint Valle Trenzado and the main irrigation ditch.

In addition, travelling to Elche to begin the Palmeral trail is also an ideal excuse to see other charms of this destination which is known as a Mediterranean oasis. We recommend visiting the Huerto del Cura, the neighbourhood of El Raval, the Canalejas and Santa Teresa bridges, the convent of La Merced and the Arab Baths, the Calahorra or the municipal park.
