An almost 7km trail that combines sections through the town and in the natural landscape flanking Laguna Rosa, the pink lake.

Las Lagunas de la Mata y Torrevieja natural park is a magical landscape in the Region of Valencia. If you’re keen to explore it, a great way is to take Vía Verde de Torrevieja (literally meaning ‘Greenway’ in English). The urban trail makes its way towards El Acequión beach, where the salt lake scenery will take you aback.

Along the walking and hiking trail, you will see large numbers of birds: everything from black-winged stilts and shelducks to Montagu's harrier. A spectacle of mother nature. And then there’s the views… You’ll be lost for words as you gaze at the white salt mountains set against the pinkish hues of the lake.

This Greenway is suitable for walkers, bikes, scooters and wheelchairs.
