The month of May is a good time to go outdoors. The countryside is full of flowers that are used to decorate the “Crosses.” It is also an important date for the residents of Mutxamel to begin once again the cycle of traditional street dances.


The Ravalet neighborhood is the place where this tradition is still preserved today. There, the people of Mutxamel, to the sound of the dolçaina and the tabalet, perform traditional dances to accompany the cross decorated with multicolored flowers along its route, which ends at the Hermitage of Montserrat, where it will be placed.
