The town councils of Mutxamel and Sant Joan d’Alacant are organising the 12th Mutxamel – Sant Joan d’Alacant Cycling Tour on 25 October 2026. This year, the event is linked to the commemoration of International Day against Climate Change.

Participation is free of charge and requires prior registration, which can be completed through the website www.grupobrotons.com or on the day of the event, before the start.

How to get

The cycling tour will start at Raval Park, located on Carrer Pintor Marià Fortuny in Mutxamel. From there, the route will follow streets and paths through Mutxamel and Sant Joan d’Alacant, covering an approximate distance of 14 kilometres.

Other information

Between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., workshops, games and circuits will take place at Raval Park (Carrer Pintor Marià Fortuny) for those who do not take part in the cycling tour.

This activity consists of a non-competitive cycling tour open to everyone, particularly families. Its aim is to promote cycling as a sustainable transport alternative while enjoying a day of outdoor leisure and social interaction.

The organisers of the Cycling Tour pursue the following objectives:


  • Raise public awareness of the importance of tackling climate change.
  • Promote sustainable mobility in Mutxamel and Sant Joan d’Alacant by encouraging the use of bicycles as an alternative to combustion-engine vehicles.
  • Highlight the environmental benefits of this mode of transport, particularly energy savings and the reduction of CO₂ emissions.
  • Raise awareness of the relationship between transport and climate change, its consequences, and the measures we can take to reduce its impact.
  • Encourage healthy lifestyles and promote the active enjoyment of public spaces in a way that respects the environment.
