Walking Routes and Things to Do in Sanet y Negrals
Walking through irrigation channels, past old mills and across the Segària mountain range is one of the best ways to enjoy Sanet y Negrals. There are marked trails along the way, which are designed to help you explore the town’s water heritage and some of its most recognisable landscapes.
Bolata Route - La Rectoria: a low-difficulty circular route of 15.5 km linking Sanet i els Negrals, Benimeli, El Ràfol d’Almúnia and Sagra, following the course of the Girona river and the Bolata ravine. Highlights include the springs of Sagra, Nadal Mill and the water architecture of the Cava del Ràfol, set within a landscape of great agricultural and natural beauty.
La Rectoria Water Architecture Route: an easy circular route of 4.6 km exploring the area’s water heritage. Along the way, you will come across features such as the Pou de la Companyia, old mills and the Llavadors del Ràfol on an educational walk linking springs and irrigation channels.
Camí de l’Aigua, Water Trail: a low-difficulty circular route of 7.15 km, with 13 signposted points showcasing the municipality’s water heritage. Highlights include the Font de la Roda, the Illetes weir and the Cantó pumping station, as well as the Hort de la Paret.
