Come and discover the incredible traditions of Villena’s Moors and Christians, a festival that will blow you away. The festivities kick off on the 4 September with concerts and firework displays. On the 5, the Pregón - the official opening event - and Fiesta del Pasodoble - parade - will take place, as well as the Entrada de comparsas, another parade led by troupes in costume. The day after, it’s the Cabalgata - the biggest parade of the festival - and on the 7 September, you can see the moving Ofrenda - an offering - and Retreta - a procession of troupes and marching bands around the town. Finally on the 9, the Parade for the new Captains, Lieutenants and Maids of Honour gets under way. So come to Villena and see the celebrations for yourself.
