Festes Patronals de Sant Vicent, San Vicente Patron Saint Festival in Borriol, is an excellent excuse to come and visit a part of the province of Castellón that is defined by charm and history. The main event of the festival is the pilgrimage, which starts at San Bartolomé Apóstol Parish Church and makes its way to San Vicente Ferrer Chapel. At the latter, there is a stone upon which the saint, tradition has it, preached in the year 1410. The pilgrimage takes place on Monday following Easter, the day of San Vicente Ferrer, and ends with a fireworks display and mascletà, a rowdy firecracker display.

All sorts of events and activities take place in the lead-up to the pilgrimage for San Vicente Patron Saint Festival. Your little ones will love the children’s workshops while you can make your way to talks and exhibitions. You can also expect parades, discos in the streets and performances of band music, as well as traditional music featuring the dolçaina and tabalet.

Pilota valenciana, a racket sport, will also be in the limelight as part of the festivities, along with two delicious food competitions revolving around paella and coca fullá, a chocolate sponge. Come and enjoy San Vicente Patron Saint Festival in Borriol and soak up the great atmosphere and traditions.
