On the last weekend of November, Cabanes celebrates Feria de San Andrés, a festival that dates back centuries.

Feria de San Andrés in Cabanes has become so popular in the province of Castellón that it has been declared a festival of provincial tourist interest. The festivities date back to the year 1507, when Queen Doña Germana de Foix granted the town the right to hold a celebration. From this moment on, with a few exceptions, the festival has been held every year on the last weekend of November.

The festival shines the spotlight on Cabanes’ history by promoting the county’s trades and artisanship at a special fair. Here, you will find products and machinery used for farming, cattle, forestry and gardening. Gastronomic delights from Castellón are also on offer so you can indulge in the wonders of nougat, sweets, wine, cheese, charcuterie and salted goods. Souvenirs to take home that taste of the province.

Since 1999, Feria de San Andrés festivities have included a popular bonsai tree exhibit and, since 2003, a traditional cattle exhibition.

So what are you waiting for? Come and live Cabanes’ history at Feria de San Andrés.
