Monuments

The artistic-cultural heritage of the Region of Valencia is immense. As our land was a good host land for many of the civilizations that inhabited the Mediterranean for centuries (Romans, Phoenicians, Umayyads, Visigoths ...), the region has a wide artistic and monumental legacy.
From the archaeological sites of the Costa Blanca to the castles of the Vinalopó region that are part of one of the most representative cultural trails of the province. Municipalities such as Elche, a unique destination that has 3 sites awarded by UNESCO; Novelda or Alcoy, both included in the European route of modernist architecture, Orihuela and its many monuments or El Castell de Guadalest. In the province of Castellón, you will find medieval jewels such as the municipalities of Catí, Morella or Vilafamés. Benicàssim, Oropesa del Mar or Peñíscola line up with Castellón de la Plana to show a rich legacy in history and culture. Monumental buildings such as the Castillo del Papa Luna or the modernist villas on the beach of Voramar de Benicàssim. In València capital, there are centuries’ ancient buildings, such as the Tribunal de las Aguas, the Lonja de la Seda or Torres de Serranos or Torres de Quart, a vestige of the old walled city.
