The Toque Manual de Campanas, a bell ringing ceremony, is now named a tradition of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, and Albaida is one of the towns that has been celebrating this tradition for eight centuries. In fact, Albaida is the Valencian capital of this event, and now the tower Campanar Viu d'Albaida opens its doors for the day, and also brings this fascinating custom to the public, with guided tours. From February to March, there’ll be lots of chances to visit the Campanario de Albaida and take part in the historic bell ringing sessions.
