Come to L’Énova to discover the scenery of inland province of Valencia.
Located in La Ribera Alta in the province of Valencia, L’Énova is a village with fascinating historic heritage sites. The centre is defined by traditional streets and houses, which beckon you to come and take a leisurely stroll. Do you fancy coming to explore?
What to do in L’Énova
You can start your itinerary and things to see in L’Énova at 18th-century La Virgen de Gracia Parish Church. From here you can continue walking to the Chapel and Stations of the Cross, and then to small La Aurora Chapel. Take time to soak up the lovely setting here.
Venture a little outside L’Énova and you’ll find San José Chapel. Once you've taken a look around, we recommend walking a little further until you reach the ruins of Publius Cornelius Iuniani Roman Villa. Thermal baths, gardens, flooring, mosaics, decorative pools and even a small temple dedicated to Hercules have been found here.
Another significant archaeological site in the destination is the Roman quarry where ancient inscriptions have been discovered on unfinished tombstones.
To round off your explorations of the destination’s rich ancient heritage, visit the Ibero-Roman Cart Tracks of l’Énova. These grooves, carved into the rock by the Iberians, once connected the area and made it easier for carts to reach the aforementioned quarry. This area has been inhabited since the earliest times!
To make the most of all these remarkable sites, we recommend following a fantastic hiking trail: PR-CV 454 historical and scenic route. Along the way, you’ll come across Creu Alta hill, where you can enjoy stunning views. Come for a visit and discover everything that L’Énova has to offer!
