What to see in Palma de Gandía
During your time in Palma de Gandía, you will discover a small centre with surprises up its sleeves like the traditional washhouse located on San Miguel Street and the beautiful traditional façades. We recommend visiting San Miguel Arcángel Parish Church, a place of worship dating back to the 14th century that has undergone changes and renovations over the years.
The walks in Palma de Gandía will take you to two of its most interesting sights: the Palma weir and La Arcada aqueduct, also known as les Arcadetes. Connected to the River Serpis, this infrastructure has a long history – it is believed that there was a weir where the present-day structure is located today all the way back in Arab times.
The aqueduct, on the other hand, was built in the 15th century and is a joy to photograph. There is an easy, circular, 2 km route here starting in Palma de Gandía. It presents no technical difficulties and can be walked with the kids – a great way to explore the local scenery.
