Every 8 October, Sedaví’s All i Pebre Competition draws thousands of people together to celebrate the town’s culinary tradition on the eve of 9 d’Octubre.

The Concurs d’All i Pebre de Sedaví, All i Pebre Competition in Sedaví, takes place on the late afternoon/evening of 8 October in Sedaví, Valencia, setting the scene for the following day’s 9 d’Octubre celebrations, the Day of the Region of Valencia.

What to expect at the All i Pebre Competition in Sedaví

More than 2,000 people gather for a huge open-air dinner, with up to 200 pots of the traditional stew entered into the competition. Every cook brings their own touch to the recipe, so no two versions are quite the same. The result is a lively meeting point for local food, community spirit and popular culture, all coming together on the eve of one of the Region of Valencia’s most important dates.
