Things to See in Sellent
Start with a stroll through the old town and stop at the Plaza de la Iglesia, where centuries ago you would have found the bailey of the Islamic Castle. Parts of the walls are still there today, although they’ve been gradually absorbed by surrounding buildings. While you’re there, be sure to visit La Purísima Concepción Parish Church, which dates all the way back to the 16th century.
Next, head over to the mirador that looks over the Sellent River. If you’re looking for a photo to light up your Insta feed, you’ll find it here!
If you want to go off roaming, there are heaps of natural sites nearby. One of our favourites is the Font del Pinar on Tossal Mountain, with a beautiful recreation area and some seriously spectacular views. As you’re enjoying your hike, be sure to check out the Ivars spring, the Els Cantalars nature area, and the El Portet zone.
And if you want to explore even more, why not check out the neighboring village of Estubeny? You can get there by bike or on foot, following a pleasant circular route. It’s nice and simple and you can even do it with your kids, provided they’re used to walking.
You see, hiking in Sellent offers loads of possibilities. Ready to come try them for yourself?
