The Muslim tower was built between the 11th and 12th centuries, under the islamic control, as a vigilance and protection building of Valencia, making part of the huge network of others towers from different alquerías. The Tower lost it's main funcionality once the cristians get to the town: they don't destroy the tower, however, they annex a chapel at one side - we conserve one of the pointed archs - and the building's used as a prision and a storage of harvest. Nowadays, it's declared as a BIC and a museum, having inside a part of the art collection.
