The Congreso Nacional de la Alcachofa de la Vega Baja, the national congress of the artichoke from la Vega Baja in Almoradí turns this Alicante town into the foodie capital of the region.

When does the artichoke festival in Almoradí take place?

Each March, Plaza de la Constitución fills with people gathering for the popular torrà of artichokes, alongside stalls where local restaurants serve creative tapas centred around this seasonal star product.

The event is well suited to families, with children’s cooking workshops, various fun activities and live music setting the scene.
