Discover how Almoradí comes into its own each summer through its local celebrations.

The Feria and Moros y Cristianos, the fair and Moors and Christians Festival in Almoradí, Alicante, bring a burst of colour and customs in honour of the Santicos de la Piedra, Saint Abdón and Saint Senén.

When do these festivals take place in Almoradí?

Held at the end of July and the beginning of August, these six days of festivities fill the town with open-air parties, children’s activities and even donkey races! One of the highlights is the parade of the 15 comparsas, where the Moorish and Christian sides take to the streets in elaborate costumes.

The celebrations begin on Thursday with the Moorish side taking the castle, followed by the main evening parades on Friday and Saturday, and concluding on Sunday with the Christian reconquest. It’s a great time to experience local customs, live music, fireworks and the energy of the town at its peak.
