Explore the heritage of Finestrat, a municipality bursting with charm that lovers of hiking and rural tourism will adore. One for your to-visit list.

Iglesia Parroquial de San Bartolomé, San Bartolomé Parish Church, is one of the main sights in Finestrat, a pretty town sitting at the foot of the impressive Puigcampana mountain. We’d recommend including it on your itinerary of the town centre.

Built in the 18th century and inaugurated and consecrated in 1751, the place of worship sits in the heart of Finestrat’s historic centre. The bell tower will capture your attention with its extraordinary height. When looking down on the destination, San Bartolomé Parish Church is a defining feature of the urban landscape. As you approach, you will see that there are two doors into the church, which is shaped like a Latin cross. The interior has been restored and is in good condition. The façade is austere and combines elements of the Baroque and Neoclassical styles. Wander around the side chapels and you’re sure to find points of interest that will capture your attention.

Come and explore Finestrat’s parish church and coincide your visit with Festes Patronals de Sant Bertomeu i del Crist del Remei, a festival taking place in late August, filling the streets with an incredible atmosphere. This is your opportunity to enjoy the Region of Valencia's heritage sites.
