Fiestas Patronales de Finestrat - the Patron Saint Festival of Finestrat - in honour of Sant Bertomeu and Santíssim Crist del Remei, is a unique display of Valencian culture that has been going for more than 100 years and is held at the end of August. This event transforms the town of Finestrat into a vibrant festive hub attracting both locals and visitors.

Finestrat Parish Church, an architectural gem from the 18th century dedicated to the town's patron saint, Sant Bertomeu, becomes the epicentre for the celebrations. The church’s bells chime joyfully, marking the beginning of a week full of festivities. Over the course of the week, the town is flooded with life, with plenty of events including "arreplegà de barraques", costume parades, concerts, food tasting, activities for children, flower offering to the saints and important religious ceremonies. However, what really sets this festival apart is the gunpowder display, a tradition rooted in Mediterranean tradition. Firework and firecracker spectacles, particularly the Gran Castillo de Fuegos Artificiales, light the night sky and add a touch of magic to the celebration.
