El Misteri de Reis in Gata de Gorgos, the Mystery of the Three Kings, is a traditional spectacle that brings the arrival of the Reyes Magos to life, shaped by the distinctive character of this town in Alicante.

With a history stretching back several decades, the re-enactment blends music, drama and a festive atmosphere that draws together both locals and visitors. Two key scenes are performed during El Misteri de Reis de Gata de Gorgos: the encounter with Herod and the arrival at the Nativity, building towards one of the most anticipated moments—the angel descending from the church bell tower into the main square.

After the announcement to the children, the celebration continues as the Three Kings make their way through the streets, visiting homes and spreading excitement among the youngest residents. A living tradition that fills Gata de Gorgos with a sense of wonder and shared emotion year after year.
