In the centre of Gata de Gorgos, in the province of Alicante, stands Iglesia Parroquial de San Miguel Arcángel, San Miguel Arcángel Parish Church, an impressive 17th century place of worship that is part of the spirit of the place.

Built by the 2nd Count of Alcúdia and his wife, the church has three naves and eight side chapels that invite a leisurely exploration. The church is an absolute must-see in Gata de Gorgos! The simple yet elegant Baroque façade opens up to the plaza with a grand entrance and a three-tiered bell tower, renowned for its clock and bells that mark the rhythm of local life.
