Picturesque blue doors set against whitewashed houses. The sea breeze giving you welcome respite from the heat. The sand burying your feet. Jávea bay escapes words - so the best thing? Explore it for yourself.

Lying between two capes, Jávea couldn’t be a more quintessentially Mediterranean stretch of the coastline. With its long history and stunning seascape, this fishing town beckons you to discover all of its secrets. The golden sand and tranquil waters of the beaches shimmer in the sunlight while the fishing port bustles with life. Creating a picture-perfect backdrop to the most relaxing of getaways.

Jávea will awaken your senses and feed your soul. Wander the narrow streets of the historic centre and be whisked back to the Medieval period, hop from terrace to terrace to try the best produce in the Mediterranean and stroll to the most breathtaking vistas over the Costa Blanca. Outlooks that will leave you awe-struck by the boundless beauty unfolding before you.

How you choose to explore this little slice of paradise is entirely up to you. Barraca cove (also known as Portitxol cove) has risen to fame for being the location of the much-photographed pretty blue door. Defined by rugged cliffs and crystalline waters, this is an idyllic spot to dip into the sea, swing from side to side on hammocks and enjoy kisses at sunset.

From the shore you can enjoy an outlook over Portitxol island, a diving paradise. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the wonders lying beneath the surface; a seabed filled with hidden arches and tunnels that will blow you away. Take a deep breath and let the adventure begin.

Sometimes it can be hard to express in words the exact feeling a place can leave you with.  You simply have to live it, feel it. But one thing is for sure: happiness is simple when lazing in the sand at Barraca cove in Jávea.

Granadella or La Caleta, El Tangó or Ambolo beach, El Arenal beach and El Ministro cove are just some of the stunning coves on the Jávea coastline. A Mediterranean oasis where you will be entirely in the moment, forgetting all else. Where the sky turns into a vibrant technicolour as the sun starts to set. Where you will get goosebumps from the emotion. And where your tanned skin will be coated in salt water. Falling in love with Jávea is an experience like no other. So come explore and discover that love at first sight really does exist.
