Come and explore a magnificent place of worship steeped in history. Burriana is home to a number of valuable hertiage sites.

Iglesia Parroquial de El Salvador, El Salvador Parish Church in Burriana in the province of Castellón, was commissioned by King Jaume I, meaning that it dates all the way back to the 13th century. You’re going to love looking around and photographing this lovely place of worship.

The church was constructed in the early Gothic style – giving it a unique feel – on a Romanesque plan, meaning you’ll find elements of both styles in the building.

El Salvador Parish Church was modified with a tower to fortify it. Interestingly, it’s the first place of worship with traces of what would later go on to be known as Valencian Gothic architecture.

El Salvador Parish Church’s bell tower was built in the 14th century. With so much history before you, make sure you leave plenty of time to look around the building during your getaway to Burriana.

And remember that inside there are frescoes by Vergara that you won’t want to miss. So what are you waiting for? It’s time to come for a visit.
