The walk to this small chapel in Borriol is just as lovely as the views that you can enjoy from the top. Come and experience it for yourself.

Ermita del Calvario, El Calvario Chapel in Borriol, dating back to 1684 and rebuilt in the 20th century, is a small, charming building. It makes a lovely destination for a walk as the route from the town is marked by the small stations of the Stations of the Cross.

El Calvario Chapel sits atop a hill and affords excellent views over the municipality. Though the end of the walk is uphill, it is absolutely worth the effort as you will get some great photos that you can share with others afterwards. That said, the walk is not a long one, taking you about 10 minutes from the centre of Borriol.

We’d recommend starting your explorations of this part of La Plana Alta by visiting San Bartolomé Apóstol Parish Church and Borriol History Museum (known as MUHBO for short). You can then set off on small excursions to visit this chapel and the two other chapels in the municipality: San Vicente Ferrer and San Antonio Abad. You will have a great day swept up in the most incredible scenery.

Are you keen to come and soak up the beauty of this part of the province of Castellón?
