The village of Montanejos is a small settlement of 500 inhabitants in the interior of the province of Castellón, through which the River Mijares flows, this river gives its name to the region in which the municipality is situated: Alto Mijares. It is a municipality with strong links to health tourism, given the presence of thermal waters with mineral-medicinal properties. La Fuente de los Baños is one of the places you simply must not miss. This spot is one of the most beautiful in the Valencian Community and features natural pools whose water maintains a constant temperature of 25°C all year round, as well as the remains of ancient 12th-century Arab baths, picnic areas, toilets, a small kiosk and children’s play areas.
