Every Thursday morning, Oropesa del Mar is running guided tours of El Rey Tower. Make the most of this opportunity to take a look around the tower, which was built in 1413 under the order of Fernando I. It is the oldest watchtower in this part of the province of Castellón. The structure you can see today comprises two towers. The old tower has a square plan and is encased by the new tower, which is thought to have had two floors. The interior is square and divided into two rooms topped with a barrel vault. The upper ceiling is no longer standing. So how about it?
