The inception of La Virgen de la Fuente de la Salud Royal Sanctuary is connected to the discovery of an image of the Virgen next to a fountain that was said to have healing powers. An early sanctuary was built to worship the Virgen and the site you can see today grew around it.

Construction work started on La Virgen de la Fuente de la Salud Royal Sanctuary all the way back in the 14th century. Over the course of its history, it’s been connected to different orders, like the Montesa Order and the Hospitalarios Order.

Beyond the church, the present-day site includes the old inn, Casa dels Capellans and Los Duques de Segorbe Palace. The original Gothic style has been added to with Renaissance and Baroque elements, creating a site whose monumentality will blow you away.

In particular, you will like the Renaissance portico and the bell gable. The site is also home to Santuari de la Font de la Salut Museum Collection, a museum that you’re going to enjoy taking a look around.
