The patron saint festival of Vall de Almonacid, in Castellón’s Alto Palancia region, is held in honour of the Santísimo Cristo de la Sangre, the Virgen de los Dolores and the Divina Pastora. A celebration well worth experiencing!

When does the festival in Vall de Almonacid take place?

It is held every year during the second weekend of August, with the festivities beginning on Friday with events dedicated to the Santísimo Cristo de la Sangre. The Saturday and Sunday are devoted to celebrations in honour of the Virgen de los Dolores and the Divina Pastora, with the order of these tributes alternating each year.

These days mark one of the most important moments in the town’s traditional calendar, bringing together religious devotion and community spirit in evenings filled with music, gatherings and open-air festivities.
