Once you have regained your strength, you can head to the MUPA, the Aldaia Fan Palm Museum, located in the fantastic Casa de la Llotgeta, a 16th century building. Aldaia, since the 19th century, has been strongly linked to the manufacture of handmade fans.
A stroll through the Plaza de la Constitución in Aldaia will take you to the old 16th century cistern, which now forms part of the new Town Hall, and once there you should also visit the Parish Church of the Annunciation, with its interesting mixture of styles. If you feel like a stroll, you can visit the hermitages of the Virgen de la Saleta and San Miguel.
Aldaia's festivities are a great reason to get to know this municipality, starting with the Moors and Christians festivities dedicated to the Santísimo Cristo de los Necesitados, which take place at the end of July and beginning of August and usually include a good number of plans.
In these festivities you will find activities for children, open-air dances, a brass band festival, religious acts, traditional and popular dances and music, a parade of lanterns made with watermelons and the omnipresent presence of the sopà d'Aldaia or fanget de cel, a delicious dessert typical of the days of celebration.
Of course they also celebrate the Fallas and a tasty Tapas Fair. In its Barrio del Cristo there is no shortage of street parties and a good mood in the streets at the end of August and beginning of September. Come to Aldaia to enjoy a great atmosphere and many attractive plans!
