Get to know Chiva's most famous tradition, and plan a summer trip to this special part of Valencia.

The Fiesta del Torico de la Cuerda in Chiva, Valencia, takes place from 15–25 August. During the celebrations, the torico, a small bull, wears a badana—a padded, crown-like piece that protects its horns—and is led through the streets on a rope. The key dates are 17, 18 and 19 August, when locals and visitors come together in their numbers for a family-friendly atmosphere and one of the town's most distinctive traditions.
