Miramar is a seaside destination that combines all the wonders of the Mediterranean. From the fertile plains of the agricultural land to the fragrant orange groves and the azure sea lined by long sandy beaches, this stretch of La Safor coastline is an exceptional destination for a family holiday.

What to see in Miramar

The crown jewel of Miramar is its beach, a 1km stretch of golden sand where you can take dips in the Mediterranean Sea, lounge about in the sun and enjoy strolls with the sea breeze running through your hair. Miramar beach has earned the Q for Tourist Quality and the Blue Flag for its crystalline waters, making it a stunning destination for a beach holiday.

A beautiful promenade lines the seafront, affording vistas over El Montgó mountain to the south and Gandia port and Cullera lighthouse to the north. The many restaurants, cafés and ice cream shops here are the ideal place to take a break and breathe in the views. In the summer months, Miramar runs a jam-packed programme of events ranging from outdoor film screenings to traditional markets.

Miramar is the ideal place to get out and about on your bikes as a family. The Greenway between Gandia and Oliva as well as Sendero Azul de la Séquia Mare are both beautiful routes that will immerse you in stunning natural landscapes.

The area is also a great place to do some walking. Starting at the tourist office at the beach, Sendero Azul de la Séquia Mare is also a walking trail, taking you on a 3km circular route through the Mediterranean huerta - agricultural land - and the unique scenery of marshlands. The trail is suitable for people with reduced mobility

Wherever you go in the Region of Valencia, you simply have to try the gastronomy. This could not be more true in Miramar where the local restaurants serve traditional Mediterranean dishes featuring rice, fresh fish and vegetables. Make sure you try polp farcit (stuffed octopus) and coca borratxa (rum-soaked cake), which are the focus of the local food festivals. A true treat for the palate.

Every destination in the Region of Valencia will take your breath away. Explore Miramar and fall in love with this beautiful stretch of the Mediterranean.
