Come and see a spectacular tradition unfold before your eyes in Quart de Poblet. This is a festivity you’re going to love.

Passejà de Sant Onofre in Quart de Poblet, located close to El Turia Natural Park in the province of Valencia, is one of the destination's most highly anticipated festivals of the year. You’re going to love this event, which is positively bursting with music, gastronomy and fireworks.

Passejà de Sant Onofre, which kicks off the Patron Saint Festivities, draws in crowds of locals and visitors and stars at San Onofre Sanctuary, which is the present-day Virgen de la Luz Parish. From there, the Clavaris de Sant Onofre start a passejà – a procession – accompanied by anyone who wants to join in, set to the beat of traditional Valencian music.

A highlight of the route of Passejà de Sant Onofre is a pyrotechnic show making rodes de foc, wheels of fire. The participants also stop off to sample traditional pastries and drinks, and there is an incredible fireworks display.

Dating all the way back to the 18th century, Passejà de Sant Onofre is based on a tradition that states that San Onofre brought rain in a time of drought. Legend has it that the locals celebrated with a procession, an event that has been continued to the present day.

So how about it? Do you fancy coming to see Passejà de Sant Onofre in Quart de Poblet? You’ll love experiencing the festivities in real life.
