Discover diverse botanical life at L'Hort de Trénor in Torrent.

L'Hort de Trénor is a municipal park and historic garden dating back to the late 16th century. When a Franciscan convent was built, some land next to the chapel was given away: this area is now the present-day municipal park. Currently belonging to Ayuntamiento de Torrent, a town in the province of Valencia, the garden is a lovely place for locals and visitors to while away the hours in the midst of diverse plant life.

Over time, L'Hort de Trénor has seen additions to the garden, such as the glasshouse and the outdoor kitchen garden. As such, it is able to run activities in the glasshouse, host plant shows and put on gardening workshops.

During your time at L'Hort de Trénor you will see that the park is divided into different areas that recreate the various botanical habitats of the Region of Valencia. As you make your way around, you will discover kermes oaks, fruit trees, aromatic plants, succulents, cork trees, Mediterranean woodland and shady woodland.

Beyond gazing at the plants, bushes and trees at L'Hort de Trénor, we recommend checking out the park’s cultural programme. In the area next to the Casa Señorial, or Manor House, concerts are performed in the summer months: the perfect place to enjoy live music close to the palm trees. So what are you waiting for? Make your way to Torrent to take a stroll through the history-steeped park that has a long future ahead of it. You are going to love it.
