Discover an event bursting with tradition and colour – don’t miss this beautiful battle which sees flowers flying through the air!

Batalla de las Flores, the Battle of Flowers in València, is one of the most highly anticipated events in the programme for the July Fair, also known as the Great Fair of València. This explosion of colour, tradition and joy takes place at Paseo de la Alameda, on the banks of El Turia Garden.

Since 1891, the event has turned the city into a visual spectacle with thousands of carnations grown in the Valencian countryside being thrown into the air in a floral rainfall involving the public and the participants.

Carefully decorated the night before in the traditional event of punxà, the floats for the Battle of Flowers are driven by representatives from the world of Fallas – a great atmosphere is guaranteed.

So when is the Battle of Flowers in València? It’s always held on the last Sunday of July. The event closes the July Fair in València with a tradition that has survived over a century and that keeps bringing together thousands of people in an unbeatable day of fiesta!
